Closeout promotional items ROI is stupid

I wanted to share my thoughts on closeout promotional items and how they can impact the bottom line of your company. First and foremost you can get really great logo products at a fraction of the retail cost and ultimately doubling your marketing dollars! Why wouldn't you do this as a standard practice? It's my contention that any physical logod products you give away are always better than traditional marketing. Let's say you have a budget of $20,000 for the 2018 marketing budget and you allow me to find closeout deals for 50% off you have just doubled you marketing budget in essence to $40,000!??!??
